Season Kick-Start Party

Carla Harris is a disabled queer writer, performer and interdisciplinary artist. As a spoken word poet, she has taught workshops on experimental writing and performed at Verses Festival in Vancouver (2017) and Saskatoon Poetic Arts Festival (2018). Rooted in music, theatre and creative writing, she understands how the arts can illuminate disability issues. Her first chapbook, Obtain No Proof, was published in the Dis/Ability Series of Frog Hollow Press.

Dan Innes is a hip hop artist based out of Regina, Saskatchewan. Rhyming under the name 'ThatmanDan' he draws parallels of the human experience over beats and with rhyme. He has been writing rhymes and rapping them since he was 11 years old, out loud and with others since he was 15. Dan's work has been featured on both local and provincial radio and television. He has travelled and taught workshops on hip hop culture to youth in different parts of Canada. Dan's life has featured a wide array of experiences which he draws from to describe universal themes. He has two beautiful children aged 10 and 12 and lives in the same Cathedral Village he was raised in.

Kohl Bustamante Is a guitarist from Regina. A fourth-year music student at the U of R, his musical styles range from Cinematic Scores to Classic Rock and beyond. In addition to guitar Kohl also plays a number of other instruments and is always down for a jam.

Liberty Skye is a Métis spoken word artist who comes from a very long line of storytellers. She knows the power that words carry and believes in their capacity to bring forth healing and positive change. Liberty has spent much of her life searching for her voice and her identity. She mainly writes on topics such as: motherhood, feminism, mental health, family (disc)connection, survival, joy and empowerment. However, no matter what Liberty is writing about, underneath every piece that she creates, the common theme is always a simple one - hope.

Mark has been a practicing theatre artist and screen actor on Treaty 4 and 6 lands for roughly 14 years, working as an actor, director, producer, and writer. He currently serves as the executive director of the Saskatchewan Association of Theatre Professionals and a member of On Cue Performance Hub's steering committee. He's looking forward to returning to the stage as a producer and performer for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at The Artesian on 13th this coming November.

Michael Leclair is originally from Winnipeg. Another dedicated musician with over 30 years devoted to his craft Michael brings insight and experience with his playing. Michael also plays a number of instruments and is always ready to share his knowledge.

Mike Mann has been drumming for 12 years. He cites Dave Grohl, Matt Cameron and Todd Sucherman as major influences. Mike is a passionate musician who has played in several bands locally over the years and is excited for this fun night.
