Our Mandate and Mission

The Overall Goal: To strengthen Regina’s performing arts community, generate greater and more diverse public access to these art forms and increase the career viability of professional performing arts groups and individual artists.

Objective 1: To support and enhance the capacity of the full diversity of Regina’s performing artists, cultural workers and smaller performing arts groups to realize their creative objectives, take risks and make a living from their creative work through a cooperative producing and mentorship incubator.

Objective 2: To cultivate broader and more inclusive community engagement in, understanding and appreciation of the work of Regina’s performing artists.

Objective 3: To increase the availability of affordable and accessible spaces suitable for the needs of performing artists and cultural workers in Regina—including digital facilities and a professional quality performing arts theatre.

Our Vision:  A broader and more diverse community of Regina performing artists and groups realizing their creative visions and a financially sustainable creative practice through the engagement of citizens and visitors in a robust array of well-presented and produced performing arts offerings.

The Performing Arts Mean Business

On Cue Performance Hub is an entrepreneurial start up focused on making Regina a viable location for independent performing artists to make a sustainable living. Our goal is better retention of creatives within our community through a supportive environment that facilitates innovation and the realization of creative ideas—while providing practical professional development of the business and administrative skills creative entrepreneurs need to survive and thrive as independent artists.

The Performing Arts Mean Diversity

On Cue Performance Hub is a new non-profit arts organization offering a cooperative producing platform serving local artists and diverse audiences in Regina and beyond. We place a priority on artists from under-served communities. This in particular involves a high priority on enabling the work and careers of artists from our BIPOC, newcomer, Deaf, disabled, age, and gender diverse communities. We support their development as artists, their capacity to create new work and tell stories that connect with and build a new and similarly more inclusive audience for the performing arts through live performance in Regina and video-on-demand available to millions of viewers internationally.

The Performing Arts Mean Innovation

We are a new organization, with a new organizational model and approach plus a focus on new work and new voices that speak to new audiences. Our innovation is in the way we see and ask our audiences to see and experience the performing arts.
