Accessibility
Available to Every Audience and Every Artist
On Cue Performance Hub is proud to present work from an incredible array of local artists and companies, including Deaf Crows Collective and Listen to Dis’ Community Arts Organization. On Cue is a community led organization and we believe that all artists and audiences can benefit from accessible performances and practices, regardless of their level of ability or disability.
We are working hard to make all of our productions and events as accessible as we can, and to give the proper tools and support to independent artists so that they can present accessible performances.
Current Initiatives

Accessible Spaces
We endeavour to use performances spaces that are accessible to any person who has a physical or mobility disability. See each production/event page for specific information.
ASL Interpreted Performances & Events
We are very proud to be working with the City of Regina, Saskatchewan Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, and Deaf Crows Collective to provide high quality ASL interpretation for On Cue events and/or productions. See each production/event page for specific information.
Digital Perfomance
We know that attending live theatre isn’t always the easiest option for everyone. Whether it’s issues with paratransit, COVID precautions, current health issues, or just for your own comfort, we want to make it possible for you to experience the performance in a way that works for you. We are working hard to make performances available digitally with subtitles. See On Cue | On Demand for our catalogue of performances that are currently available through Broadway on Demand.
Open-Door Policy
We understand that you might arrive late or need to leave early. You might even need to just step out to take a breath. On Cue’s Front of House team operates on an open-door policy and will be there to let you back in at a suitable moment during the performance.
Pay-What-You-Will
We believe that theatre should be accessible to all audiences regardless of financial situation. All On Cue events are pay-what-you-will and all productions are encouraged to add a pay-what-you-will option to their tickets. See each production/event page for specific information. If you want to attend a production that is not currently offering pay-what-you-will tickets, contact us to make arrangements.
Support Service Provider Tickets
We offer free tickets for support service providers. If you want to attend a production and require a ticket for a support service provider, contact us to make arrangements.
Surtitling
We strive to make our productions as accessible as possible on a regular basis. This season, we are working with Deaf Crows Collective to make surtitles available to independent artists to be integrated into their productions from the ground up. See each production/event page for specific information.
Transparent Information
We aim to be as transparent as possible about accessibility for each of our events and productions, as well as our general accessibility initiatives. However, we are a small team so if you notice something missing or have any questions, please email us and we will be happy to help you.

Relaxed Performances
We hope to make theatre that is accessible to all audiences, including those who experience sensory overload. We hope to equip more theatre artists with the skills they need to make accessible theatre, and to normalise relaxed performance within the independent theatre scene. See each production/event page for specific information.

Tactile Signing
We listen to the needs of the community and understand that accessibility needs to be intersectional. We have received a sizeable grant from the City of Regina to help make specialized intersectional support available such as tactile ASL for the DeafBlind community. If you are interested in receiving tactile ASL support on an upcoming production, please contact us and we will do our best to arrange for this. This typically requires three months notice to book with an interpreter.
