So opening night is under the company’s collective belt and things went finer than a frog’s hair, to quote Ida Red. I sat in the audience and observed and listened (a little obsessively) to their reactions. After a while, I just relaxed and enjoyed the show. I can say with authority that The Weavers is a fun watch! 

It’s opening night for The Weavers! It’s been a bit of a haul to get here, but we made it. Boy, do I have people to thank.

This is a great story, so typical of Saskatchewan. People get stuck or lost in a blizzard and are rescued and cared for. It could happen to anyone, right?

It’s production week! Today is Load-in/Tech Rehearsal at the Shu-Box Theatre. For the load-in part, most of the furniture has already been brought up from the Theatre Department’s basement shop.

It’s production week for The Weavers, and folks at On Cue Performance Hub asked me if I wanted to write a blog post as I explore what it takes to produce a live theatre show. Hint: there are a lot of people involved, and there are tons of moving parts.
