Why On Cue?

Are you an independent performing artist, small company or organization based in southern Saskatchewan? Are you involved in Dance, Music, Theatre, Spoken Word Poetry, Storytelling, a combination of any of these or any other form of performance? Do you have a new project, production, or event you want to develop and/or produce in Regina in in the next year or a workshop you are wanting to lead? Are you looking for support or mentorship in realizing your creative project?

On Cue Performance Hub can help you get all that and more. We offer independent performing artists and companies support to bring their ideas to life. We help you create a network of support for your project, and cultivate a place for you or your company in the Saskatchewan performing arts ecosystem. Additionally, you will have access to our merchandising and On Demand abilities should you want to use them to reach a national and international audience.

Anyone is welcome to apply. On Cue exists to lift up underserved and underrepresented artists, whether that be due to your language, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender expression, or any other expression of yourself as an artist; On Cue wants to put what makes your art unique to you onstage.

What We Offer

Depending on the needs of particular artists or organizations, On Cue can support your creative goals with the following:

  • Space for rehearsal, performance, meetings, or workshops

  • Developmental support for new work

  • Building a network of colleagues to help get your work on the stage and professionally produced

  • Accessibility support to make your work accessible to new and diverse audiences

  • Marketing, merchandizing and promotional support

  • Mentorship or professional development in budgeting, securing additional funding, marketing, managing a production or other other areas

  • On Demand Streaming, archival video, and archival photography

And you or your company keep 100% of the box-office revenue from all live and/or streaming performances!

On Cue Performance Hub's mandate is to support artists, help them pool their resources and make the most of their skills and creative abilities.  We want to help you bring your creative ideas to life and make a place for you or your company in the Saskatchewan performing arts ecosystem.

Through a highly diverse and eclectic season of productions, events, and professional development reflecting the range and diversity of our local performing artists, On Cue wants to put what makes your art unique to you onstage.

Your Proposal

From February 2023 onward, On Cue’s season application will be open year round with a cutoff date for the upcoming season. Please feel free to propose at anytime.

How will your proposal be evaluated?

On Cue will try to serve as many proposals as its resources allow.  Evaulation is NOT based on an assessment of "artistic merit."  We encourage diverse and risky work, and are only concerned with knowing who you are, why you need this chance to show your work, and how this opportunity will move your career forward.

 The evaluation criteria are: 

  • Need: how is this opportunity essential for your/your show’s trajectory; 

  • ​Diversity: of culture, language, form, content, etc.;​

  • Feasibility:​ financial, logistical, and technical; and 

  • Experience​: in creating, producing, performing, project management, etc.
