Abdulsalam is a Syrian-Palestinian poet and photographer. His writing explores themes of exile, identity, belonging, and, sometimes, love. Before winning the lottery of resettlement to Canada, he lived with his family in Malaysia for nine years where his poetic journey started. He performed twice at the annual George Town Literary Festival and won second place in the 2019 Migrant & Refugee Poetry Competition in Kuala Lumpur.

Dan Valley’s musical roots lie in the South – both the Deep South of the United States and the southern tip of Africa where he was born.

Hailing from a middle-class urban background in Cape Town, Valley was exposed to artists such as Rodriguez and Violent Femmes from a young age.

Later he would discover the work of the early rock ‘n roll pioneers such as Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley, as well as the lyrical musings of Bob Dylan. This musical journey would culminate in the discovery of the old blues masters such as Blind Willie Johnson and those unknown slaves who sang their field hollers and laments into the recording device of a certain Mr. Alan Lomax.

With his distinctive perspective on country, blues, folk and rockabilly music, Dan Valley transplants the musical traditions of the Deep South to a modern setting where it is just as relevant today as it was a hundred years ago, sitting on the banks of the Mississippi river, watching the steamboats sail past.

Artie Balkwill is a Regina based singer/songwriter that blends indie and blues influences into his songwriting and performance. Born and raised in southern Saskatchewan, he can be found sharing songs and stories of travelling adventures in barrooms and festivals all around the province.

Macey Hay is a third year theatre student pursuing a BA in Theatre and Performance with an Acting concentration. She has previously appeared in the University of Regina's production of Come Along and will be seen in the University of Regina Cabaret performance coming up in March. Macey has been involved in acting, writing and storytelling for as long as they can remember and is in the process of further development in her first play. Outside of theatre and performance they love to spend their time creating any kind of art, being with animals and playing games with friends.

Sarah Fiset is a contortionist, clown, and professional makeup artist from Regina. She completed her Diploma of Makeup Artistry in 2015, and spent the following 6 years doing theatre makeup and backstage work. She completed her degree in History in 2020, and, after working as a museum researcher, decided to pursue her dream of becoming a circus artist. She has been teaching herself contortion for several years, and discovered aerial arts in October of 2022. She has performed in showcases both on aerial hoop and doing ground contortion, as well as fire dancing. She looks forward to furthering her career as a circus performer, honing her skills as a contortionist, and continuing her education in History.

Roxie Lenton is hell-bent on using her lyric driven pop-folk music to empower others. Music is magic, it can change your mood in a matter of seconds and Roxie’s music wields that magic in a very vivid way. Drawing on inspiration from a wide range of influences such as Taylor Swift, Simple Plan and Musical Theatre, she captivates a broad spectrum of human emotion. Like most inspiring artists of her generation, the forces influencing her music, reflect an eclectic taste that crosses over the increasingly blurred boundaries of musical genres and styles.

Her experience with mental illness, including the unfortunate stigma that comes along with it, has given Roxie an added purpose: to use her music and her story to help others who suffer from mental illness and to increase awareness and understanding on the subject.

Put her in front of a piano, add the riffs of a slide guitar and watch her quirky spirit come alive while her sultry voice carries you on a musical journey.
