Femme Fest Call For Proposals 

About Femme Fest

Inspired by International Women’s Day, March 8, 2026, On Cue Performance Hub will again be hosting Femme Fest March 6-8, 2026. The festival will spotlight and celebrate female-identifying and gender-diverse performing artists.

Participation in this festival is open to artists who identify as female or non-binary. They may be working individually or in groups from a broad range of cultural perspectives and in any performative field (such as dance, drag, film, music, theatre, spoken word poetry, stand-up comedy and storytelling).

In keeping with On Cue Performance Hub’s mandate to create space on Regina stages for emerging and historically underserved artists, proposals from artists who self-identify as Indigenous, racialized, newcomers, Deaf or disabled are encouraged.  Applications which pair an emerging artist with a more senior artist are also encouraged.

Proposals should be for a performance of up to 20 minutes. All artists will be compensated at a professional rate appropriate to their performative disciplines. Artists from outside of Regina are welcome to apply but On Cue funding does not cover travel costs.

As Regina’s newest performing arts organization, On Cue Performance Hub is a creative incubator and cooperative producing platform featuring emerging and underserved artists, groups and small companies working across a wide range of performing arts disciplines.  Its goals are to activate a cross-disciplinary network of artists, make it possible for them to derive a more sustainable income from their creative work and cultivate more diverse public engagement in support of Regina’s performing artists.
