Arthur Milner is a playwright, theatre director, and regular contributor to inroadsjournal.ca. His most recent plays include Getting to Room Temperature, “a hard-hitting, sentimental and funny one-person play about dying,” most recently produced by Regina’s Curtain Razors and soon to be produced, in French, by Saskatoon’s La Troupe du Jour; and Facts, a murder mystery set in the West Bank, produced in London, U.K., Istanbul (in Turkish), and Palestine (in Arabic). He has lived across Canada and now lives in Regina, where he’s working with Curtain Razors on a new play about Father Athol Murray and Tommy Douglas; and with Architect Theatre, on a new play about LSD research in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.

Alanis King, is an Odawa director, playwright and Artistic Producer with the Wikwemikong Nawewin Gamik (The Language House). Directing Credits Include: Rubaboo (Grand Theatre, Arts Club, Citadel); Kiistsistinonniks - Our Mothers (Making Treaty 7);:Velvet Devil, Wawatay, BDawg, Bye Bye Beneshenh (Gordon Tootoosis Native Theatre). She created To Nooshenh (NAC Indigenous Cities online production); playwright of the Artshow (Native Earth) and The Manitoulin Incident (Debajehmujig). 3 Plays publication includes If Jesus Met Nanabush, Tommy Prince Story, and Born Buffalo.

Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman is an award winning playwright and screenwriter. She is the winner of a Dora Mavor Moore Award, The Herman Voaden Award, and The K.M. Hunter Artist Award and nominated twice for the Governor General’s Award. Her work has been staged and commissioned by the most prestigious theaters in Canada including The Stratford Festival, The National Arts Centre, The Citadel Theatre, Tarragon Theatre and Factory. As a screenwriter she’s worked on SafeHaven (Crackle) KING (Showcase) Paris, Paris (Unis TV), and has her own original shows in development with CBC, Blue Ice Pictures, IGP and Sullivan Entertainment.

An award winning lighting designer, writer and performer, Itai is the founder of The Elbow Theatre, for whom he co-wrote and performed in Soldiers of Tomorrow, Hyperlink, This Is Not A Conversation and A Very Narrow Bridge. Itai’s first solo show: How to Disappear Completely (The Chop) has had 26 remounts and won the best director award at the 2013 Summerworks Festival (James Long). Itai has designed over 350 shows for theatre, dance and opera companies in over 50 cities in North America and Europe. Recent highlights include: Carmen for Vancouver Opera, The Marriage of Figaro for Pacific Opera and Elf for Arts Club Theatre. He won six Jessie Richardson Awards, Toronto’s Dora Mavor Moore Award, a Winnipeg Theatre Award, the Jack King Award, Victoria’s Spotlight Choice Award, a Guthrie Award and the Design Award at the Dublin Fringe Festival. He was shortlisted to the Siminovitch Prize in 2018 and 2024.

Born in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, and raised in Northern Ontario, Colleen Murphy won the 2016 and 2007 Governor General's Literary Award for English Language Drama for her plays Pig Girl and The December Man / L'homme de décembre respectively. Both plays were also awarded a Carol Bolt Award. Other plays include Jupiter, The Breathing Hole (shortlisted for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and the Carol Bolt Award), The Society For The Destitute Presents Titus Bouffonius, I Hope My Heart Burns First, Armstrong's War, The Goodnight Bird, The Piper, and Beating Heart Cadaver, which was shortlisted for a Governor General's Literary Award. She is also a librettist - Fantasma for composer lan Cusson, My Mouth On Your Heart for composer August Murphy-King, and Oksana G. for composer Aaron Gervais - and is an award-winning filmmaker. She has been Writer-in-Residence at seven universities and Playwright-in-Residence at two Canadian theatres as well as at Finborough Theatre in the UK. She is a member of the Order of Canada.

Frances Koncan (she/they) is an Anishinaabe and Slovene playwright currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia, within the shared, unceded, ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Originally from Couchiching First Nation, they grew up on Treaty 1 territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended the University of Manitoba (BA Psychology) and the City University of New York Brooklyn College (MFA Playwriting). They are currently Assistant Professor of Playwriting at the University of British Columbia. Select plays include: Women of the Fur Trade, Space Girl, and zahgidiwin/love.
