Rachel Walliser (she/her) is a working theatre artist and part-time vintage seller and chocolatier-in-training, originally from Swift Current, Saskatchewan. On top of holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Performance & Women’s and Gender Studies with Distinction from the University of Regina, Rachel has also trained with the Saskatchewan Playwrights Centre’s “Reading the Compass” Dramaturgy Program, Theatrical Intimacy Education, and Theatrical Intimacy Laboratory. This past year, she earned her Mental Health First Aid with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, as well as her Consent-Forward Artist Certificate with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC). Rachel currently works as the General Manager at Ferre Play Theatre. Her recent credits include, “Annette is a Bimbo!” with The Women’s Company and Be Kind Rewind Productions (Hayley and Intimacy Director); The Birds and The Bees with Persephone and Globe Theatre (Assistant Director and Apprentice Intimacy Director); Orlando and Circle Mirror Transformation with the University of Regina (Intimacy Consultant); Breaking the Curse with 25th Street Theatre and Ferre Play Theatre (Playwright); and 4OUR with the University of Regina (Performer and Deviser). Rachel won the Saskatoon and Area Theatre “Excellence in New Work” Award for the premiere production of Breaking the Curse in 2022.

Emma Eaton (they/them) is a queer disabled nonbinary artist and performer. Originally from La Ronge, Saskatchewan, Emma is an interdisciplinary theatre artist now based on Treaty 6 territory. They hold a BA in Theatre Performance with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Regina, and have special interests in disability theatre and Queer theatre. Emma has worked as a devisor and performer in productions such as “Mask Tales” (CAOS) and “4OUR” (Chrystene Ells). Recently having graduated from the “Reading the Compass” dramaturgy program with the Saskatchewan Playwrights Centre, Emma is an emerging dramaturg who has dramaturged the new play “The Child You Deserve” by Julia Peterson and the devised production of “Secrets from the Borne Settee” (Kathryn Bracht). Last year, Emma worked as a producer and assistant director on the production of "The Spotted Cat and the Swallow Sinha" that premiered in Regina's 2023 Riser season. Emma is excited to have the opportunity to dramaturg and perform in Rachel Walliser’s play and upcoming production of Breaking the Curse for Riser in 2024.

Avianna (she/they) is a working-class theatre maker who has accidentally bled through their fair share of light-wash jeans. Previous directing credits include Orlando (University of Regina). Previous acting credits include Bad Blood (Curtain Razors), Bang. (Persephone Theatre) and Kaleidocycle (Globe Theatre). You can see her next in the upcoming RISER show CITY Or, Stories And Bodies by Adam Robert Milne. She joins with the Palestinian people in their demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and with Indigenous people across the globe in their call for Land Back.

Julia Kowalski (she/her) is an emerging theatre artist and recent graduate of the USask BFA Acting program. She is a lover of all things theatre and loves to get involved in any capacity. Her most recent credits include Tayen and the Mimi Kwesak (GTNT), Lysistrata (The Little Theatre Company That Could), Ghosts (Live Fully Productions) and The Margin of the Sky (Greystone Theatre).

Jaida was born and raised here in Saskatchewan, and attended the University of Regina majoring in Theatre and Performance. In 2020, she followed her passion of musical theatre to St. Lawrence College, graduating from their Music Theatre Performance program in 2023. Previous credits include Spamalot (Regina Summer Stage), Cabaret (St. Lawrence College), Midway Dive (Exhibition Theatre Company), and Let’s Dance (Terra Bruce Productions and St. Lawrence College). Flip is excited to be the stage manager for this production of Breaking the Curse! They are currently in their last year pursuing a degree in Technical Theatre with concentration in stage management. Flip also works in visual art, currently focused in costume creation, fiber arts, and paper-centric sculpture. They have participated in many University of Regina and community theatre productions in Regina and Moose Jaw, including stage managing The Spotted Cat and the Swallow Sinha as part of last year’s RISER Regina Festival.
